“A Côtes-du-Rhône with great potential”

With a beautiful deep purple-red color, the “Premières Côtes” reveal aromas of spices, forest floor, and ripe red fruits. The attack is full-bodied and harmonious, with a mid-palate that strikes a balance between volume, the freshness of the soil—ever-present on the palate—from which they originate, and velvety tannins.

Review by Mr. GILLES D. Posted on August 6, 2025

Very well-structured, Première Côte proves to be appealing and harmonious in its balance of body, flavor, and vibrancy, with supple, silky tannins that envelop the palate with a savory, exuberant texture, expressing notes of blackberry, plum, and spices, complemented by a hint of white pepper and a touch of lively acidity. A lingering, indulgent finish. Priced very affordably, this CDR can be enjoyed right now for its freshness and spontaneity with Milanese osso bucco or lasagna Bolognese. Rating = 4.2.
