(2015 Vintage Notes)

Alluring and full-bodied, this wine offers a ripe, intense nose of black fruits and spices. The 75% Grenache adds fruit and roundness to the Syrah’s tannic power. Finally, a touch of freshness brings the whole wine into harmony.

Hachette Wine Guide

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine rated (2017 guide) 1*Star (2015 vintage) (A very successful wine)

Rated Estate: Award-Winning Wines (This producer's wines regularly receive awards from the guide)

About the wine:

Grenache takes center stage (55%, with 45% Syrah) in this deep black cherry-colored wine, which opens with pleasant notes of menthol, blackcurrant, and blackberry. The aromatic profile is rounded out by licorice on a round, silky palate, well-structured by fine, elegant tannins. It shows great potential for aging.

About the estate:

A 25-hectare estate located at an altitude of 400 meters, formerly owned by a chaplain and acquired in 2002 by Jacques Coipel. After traveling the world, his son Julien took over winemaking operations in 2011.
