The palate opens with notes of cherry clafoutis and reveals a full-bodied, generous texture, underscored by smooth tannins and a finish full of sweetness. Review and comment by Mr. GILLES D. Published on August 2, 2022
The proximity of Mont Chauve is evident on the palate right from the first sip: it’s warm, full-bodied (14.5%), brimming with sunshine and well-extracted fruit (plum, blackberry, cherry), with a pinch of white pepper and a hint of leather, all wrapped in a soft, silky texture. In a well-balanced blend, what energy and depth—which carry through to a round and smooth finish—creating a very pleasant sensation of abundance that you’ll want to share every day. You’ll be coming back for more, especially at this price, paired with grilled merguez sausages made with the butcher’s lamb over the coals of the BBQ. Rating: 3.9.
