Distillation

Distillation at 72° is carried out with meticulous care in traditional stills, preserving the aromas and distinctive characteristics of the grapes. This traditional method gives the “Fine de Côte-Rôtie” great aromatic richness and a complex palette of flavors; it is bottled at between 40 and 45°.

Method of Preparation

Made from carefully selected grape pomace from the vineyards of Côte-Rôtie, with no added caramel or coloring

Aged in 114-liter barrels for at least 3 years

Nose

Intense aromas of ripe fruit, such as black cherry, blackberry, and plum—notes typical of Côte-Rôtie wines. Hints of vanilla, cinnamon, and cocoa round out the bouquet, adding a subtle, indulgent touch.

Palate

A lovely concentration of aromas featuring ripe fruit, dark berries, and sweet spices, with a fine, silky texture and a beautifully lingering, indulgent finish

About the estate:

After studying in Beaune, followed by experience in the United States and the Bordeaux region at his wife’s estate (Ch. Filliol), Stéphane Pichat returned to his homeland to breathe new life into this historic estate, founded by his great-grandparents. Having settled here in 2000, he began bottling his own wines and, working with 5 hectares in Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu, has consistently produced wines of impeccable quality.
