Robert Parker

"The 2010 Gigondas Les Rocassieres is a small cuvée made from Grenache and Mourvèdre grapes grown on 60-year-old vines and aged in tanks. It is smooth, rich, and ripe, with notes of blackcurrant, a velvety texture, a full body, and plenty of power. Of course, only perfectly ripe fruit was harvested from this vineyard planted on gravelly and alluvial soils. Long, rich, and pure, this 2010 should age well for a decade.” (Wine Advocate 2012 - Robert Parker)

Tasting notes from 2018: an imbalance between the wood (tannins) and the wine—a bit too much wood
