"The 2022 Gigondas Jugunda, with its opaque ruby and plum color, is made from 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah (partially destemmed). It is a powerful, structured wine, with plenty of darker plums and blackberry-like fruit, as well as notes of graphite, pepper, and crushed stone. It is clearly exceptional, but I think cellaring will be your friend with this wine. Give it 2 to 4 years to mellow and develop more complexity, and it should age well through 2037.” (Jeb Dunnuck 2023)

Wine rated (2023 guide) 16,5/20
About the wine:
A very appealing nose of purple fruits and smoked meat. The nose also has peppery and herbaceous notes. On the palate, it offers good freshness and a rich, dense core of fruit, with fine-grained tannins and a hint of smoked meat on the long finish. It’s a real treat!
