"A Syrah with floral, spicy, and juicy notes"
“A haute couture wine, this pure Syrah from schist soils, aged for 9 months in oak barrels, captivates with its complex nose of ripe blackberry and clove, blended with notes of forest floor that hint at the wine’s early evolution. Displaying controlled power, underscored by a delicate acidity, the palate impresses with its beautifully lively texture and refined oak, which releases warm notes of cocoa on the finish.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

About the wine:
A truly exquisite wine, this pure Syrah from schist soils, aged for 9 months in oak barrels, captivates with its complex nose of ripe blackberry and clove, blended with notes of forest floor that hint at the wine’s early development. Displaying controlled power, underscored by a delicate acidity, the palate impresses with its beautifully lively texture and refined oak, which releases warm notes of cocoa on the finish.
About the estate:
After studying in Beaune, followed by experience in the United States and the Bordeaux region at his wife’s estate (Ch. Filliol), Stéphane Pichat returned to his homeland to breathe new life into this historic estate, founded by his great-grandparents. Settling in 2000, he began bottling his own wines and, drawing from 5 hectares in Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu, has consistently produced wines of impeccable quality.
