In conversation with Jérôme Bressy, a scholar and a captivating storyteller, one delights in listening to his wealth of knowledge about the traditional techniques of yesteryear—those time-honored practices that gave rise to the great wines of Vaucluse. Attuned to his terroir and the varietal diversity of his vineyards, he is a rare artisan in the wine-growing landscape. He stands out through his Vaucluse IGP wines, true reflections of the Rasteau terroir, expressions of old grape varieties treated with respect and care. Jérôme Bressy presents this exceptional, unconventional rosé—much like a blanc de noirs! The palate is succulent, with a distinct spicy, peppery undertone and a flavor reminiscent of the essence of shellfish shells. A truly gastronomic rosé. Tasted in February 2016.
