A blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, Lirac Les Cigalounes exudes intense and complex aromas of very ripe black fruits and garrigue. On the palate, the tannins are firm but round. The ideal companion for red meats.

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2019 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, consistent with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

This Châteauneuf-du-Pape-based winery has been brilliantly taken over by Samuel Montgermont and the Picard family. Drawing on its own vineyards (including 12 hectares in Châteauneuf-du-Pape) and partnerships with around thirty winegrowers, it produces very consistent, full-bodied and expressive wines, all highly representative of their respective appellations.
