Aromas of cashews on the nose and apricot pastries on the palate. Fresh, with a balanced mineral note, this wine is long, concentrated, fresh, full-bodied, and perfectly balanced—simply delicious. The vines are grown on clay-limestone soil over granite; the wine is aged in barrels and demi-muids.

About the estate:

The Gripa family arrived in Saint-Péray in the 17th century and then settled in Mauves around 1850. A trusted name in the northern Rhône Valley, both for its Saint-Péray and Saint-Joseph wines (as evidenced by the numerous “ Favorites ” awards received in both appellations), the estate has been managed since 2001 by Fabrice Gripa, son of Bernard, who now oversees 18 hectares of vineyards.

About the estate:

Fabrice Gripa carries on his father’s legacy at the sole Mauves estate, which produces as many white wines as reds. He has a perfect command of his craft, crafting various cuvées with distinct personalities. The whites stand out in four cuvées: two Saint-Péray and two Saint-Joseph. The reds, meanwhile, are fruit-forward, with structure and admirable aging management. A consistent estate producing wines of very high quality.

Produced in slightly larger quantities and composed of 70% Marsanne and 30% Roussanne, the 2024 Saint-Péray Les Pins comes from the same terroir as Les Figuiers, but with an extra touch of approachability. Lively aromas of melon, candied orange, chalky minerality, and subtle spicy notes shine through in this medium-bodied, lively, fresh, and concentrated Saint-Péray. It is well-balanced and embodies the vintage’s fresh, concentrated style, along with exceptional length. Best enjoyed between 2026 and 2030.

The nose is more floral than that of the "Les Figuiers" cuvée, but the palate is the same—round and smooth.
