"A beautifully crafted vintage"
"The Saint-Péray Les Figuiers 2024 is one of the best wines of the appellation, as well as of the vintage. Aromas of ripe stone fruits, orange blossom, minty flowers, and a rich minerality unfold on the nose. It is medium-bodied, with a fresh, concentrated palate and a lovely finish. It is already delicious now, but it can still be enjoyed for about ten years.” (Jeb Dunnuck 2026)

About the wine:
Full-bodied, rich, and generous, yet smooth and supple on the palate. The oak is currently very pronounced, but it should mellow with time. A classic St-Péray in terms of its charm and elegance. Low acidity, yet still fresh. Grown on clay-limestone soils; aged in barrels.

About the estate:
The Gripa family arrived in Saint-Péray in the 17th century and later settled in Mauves around 1850. A trusted name in the northern Rhône Valley, both for its Saint-Péray and Saint-Joseph wines (as evidenced by the numerous Favorites in both appellations), the estate has been run since 2001 by Fabrice Gripa, son of Bernard, who now oversees 18 hectares of vineyards.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Wine rated (2026 guide) 94+/100 (Outstanding wine)
About the wine:
The Saint-Péray Les Figuiers 2024, a blend of 60% Roussanne and 40% Marsanne from vines planted in 1946 (Marsanne) and 1960 (Roussanne), reveals aromas of white fruit, pear, delicate spices, and floral notes. Medium- to full-bodied, it is textured, complex, and full-flavored, offering depth and a beautifully integrated richness. The acidity provides a precise structure, bringing balance and definition on the palate. Long and elegant, this is a particularly well-rounded wine that should continue to improve with age.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated Estate (2024 Guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
Fabrice Gripa carries on his father’s legacy at the sole Mauves estate, which produces as many white wines as reds. He has a perfect command of his craft, producing various cuvées with distinct personalities. The whites stand out in four cuvées: two Saint-Péray and two Saint-Joseph. The reds, meanwhile, are fruit-forward, with integrity and admirable aging management. A consistent estate producing wines of very high quality.
