"A taste sensation with this cuvée and its bold aromas!"

"A nose of forest berries, wet stones, and peppercorns, followed by a medium body with fine tannins. Round and creamy, with fresh acidity in the middle and a succulent berry core on the finish." (James Suckling 2023). Caeli means "air" or "sky" in Latin.

About the estate:

Created in 2006 by Jean Marot, an advocate of organic farming, this 15-hectare estate is divided into two areas: one south of Mont Ventoux, the other closer to the Dentelles de Montmirail. It was bought in 2019 by the Combe family, owners of Dom. de la Fourmone in Vacqueyras, who entrusted its management to Florentine and Albin (5th generation) to produce exclusively Ventoux wines, certified organic.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 08/24/2024

A classic Ventoux that focuses more on the finesse and concentration of the fruit than on power and complexity. Smooth, dense, and full-bodied with soft tannins against a backdrop of acidity and a caressing texture with intense flavors of small black berries, spices, and notes of undergrowth, while maintaining a decent and refreshing length on the minerality. Overall, it is average and slightly overpriced, but it is the perfect companion for sharing with friends over a barbecue of lamb chops with Provençal herbs and grilled eggplant, or even moussaka. Rating = 3.7.
