Parcé Frères - Côtes du Roussillon Villages Hommage à Fernand rouge 2024

" Favorite "
This 100% Carignan is a true delight—intensely fruity (cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant), spicy, smooth, and juicy, with a long finish. It’s a wine that reflects the spirit of Fernand Vaquer, a pioneering winemaker and 1921 French rugby champion with USAP, to whom this vintage pays tribute.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 90/100
About the wine:
The nose sets the tone right away, with expressive and intense jammy fruit. On the palate, a full-bodied, enveloping texture wraps around the tannic structure. A fairly powerful, rich Côtes-du-Roussillon-Villages, bordering on opulence. While not particularly refined, this wine delivers a thoroughly enjoyable, high-quality experience.

A smooth, easy-drinking wine with plenty of ripe fruit. It’s incredibly easy to drink—you can’t help but pour yourself another glass. I’ll definitely be ordering more.

Review by Mr. Gilles D. Published on May 30, 2025
The palate, initially a bit rustic and slender, quickly gains body and unfolds a lovely, caressing, and velvety texture, with intense notes of jammy black fruit infused with spices, structured by powerful tannins that are already well integrated into the wine. A satisfying finish with a hint of cocoa. A good little timeless wine, beyond fleeting trends, at a great price! More approachable than it seems, it was shared among friends with tapas of Catalan black pudding or Iberian pork, followed by grilled marinated bull steaks. Rating = 4.
