About the estate:
A low-key family-owned estate located in Maury, the domaine has been run by brothers Florent and Mathieu Semper since 2015. The vineyards, totaling 27 hectares, are mainly planted on the black schist soils of Maury and the granite-rich soils of Lesquerde. The two winemakers built this lovely estate by purchasing several abandoned properties, each featuring beautiful, slightly neglected high-altitude vineyards.

Review by Mr. Gilles D. Posted on October 10, 2025
A blend of intense notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, and black cherry, with a hint of spice, framed by well-integrated, pronounced tannins, comes together in a full-bodied palate that is nonetheless round and balanced by a welcome mineral freshness. A lingering finish where the wine’s warmth comes through. Although it can be cellared for a good year, this characterful wine can be enjoyed right now with an autumnal dish such as a slow-cooked Languedoc beef stew, enhanced with a square of dark chocolate and spiced with a pinch of Espelette pepper.
