Rated estate (2024 guide) Green Guide (This producer's wines are regularly awarded by the guide)

About the estate:

A discreet family estate located in Maury, the domaine has been in the hands of two brothers, Florent and Mathieu Semper, since 2015. The 27 hectares of vineyards are mainly spread across the black schist soils of Maury and the granite arenas of Lesquerde. The two winemakers built up this beautiful estate by buying up certain properties that had been abandoned, with beautiful, somewhat neglected vineyards at altitude.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 90/100

About wine:

The Maury is still in the throes of adolescence, with a tight structure but served by a beautiful balance of sugar and alcohol. Two to three years in the bottle will allow it to relax.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 11/15/2025

Full-bodied, warm, and fruity with intense notes of prune and brandy-soaked fruit, enveloped in a supple, creamy texture. A lingering, enveloping finish. Still young, but already so delicious that you'll want to come back for more as an aperitif with foie gras canapés, with a hare stew and, of course, with a dark chocolate Yule log.
