Rated estate (2024 guide) Green Guide (This producer’s wines are regularly awarded by the guide)

About the estate:

A low-key family-owned estate located in Maury, the domaine has been run by brothers Florent and Mathieu Semper since 2015. The vineyards, totaling 27 hectares, are mainly planted on the black schist soils of Maury and the granite-rich soils of Lesquerde. The two winemakers built this lovely estate by purchasing several abandoned properties, each featuring beautiful, slightly neglected high-altitude vineyards.

Review by Mr. Gilles D. Published on November 15, 2025

Full-bodied, warm, and fruity, with intense notes of prunes and brandy-soaked fruit, all wrapped in a supple, velvety texture. A lingering, enveloping finish. Still young, but already so rich and indulgent that it makes you want to enjoy it as an aperitif with foie gras canapés, paired with a hare stew, and of course with a dark chocolate Yule log.
