Domaine La Casenove

Domaine La Casenove is a historic winery that has remained in the same family for over four hundred years. The estate consists of 50 contiguous hectares, managed by Étienne Montes and located 10 kilometers south of Perpignan, close to the Mediterranean Sea and on the lower slopes of the Aspres, producing some of the region’s finest Côtes Catalanes Vins de Pays, as well as delicious Vins Doux Naturels, such as Rivesaltes and Muscat de Rivesaltes.

The grape varieties of Domaine La Casenove have historical ties to this southern region and have proven over time to be perfectly suited to this terroir. The clay soils, interspersed with discontinuous veins of river pebbles, yield generous, powerful, and full-bodied Vins de Pays des Côtes Catalanes with firm yet well-integrated tannins. The heterogeneity of Domaine La Casenove’s plots necessitates a very strict selection process at harvest time, which is carried out manually after tasting the berries. The diversity of grape varieties, as well as the varying ages of the vines, allows for—and necessitates—the production of several distinct wines.
