Domaine des Ardoisières

The Domaine des Ardoisières was founded in 1998 by Michel Grisard, who established it with 6 hectares of vineyards planted on the Coteaux de Cevins. He was joined in 2003 by Brice Omont, who now manages the Domaine des Ardoisières on his own.

The Domaine des Ardoisières vineyard now comprises 9 hectares of vines on the slopes of Cevins (metamorphic rock such as mica schist and sericite schist, with sandy-silty soil) and Saint-Pierre de Soucy (sedimentary rock, Jurassic schistose marl, with clay-limestone soil). The vines are cultivated using certified organic farming methods, in accordance with biodynamic principles. Great care is taken with the quality of the grapes, as well as with the winemaking process, with the goal of bringing out the purity and aromatic complexity that the grapes acquire in the vineyards through their connection to the terroir.

The wines of Domaine des Ardoisières truly express the terroirs from which they come, much to the delight of Savoie wine enthusiasts.
