"Sober and easy to drink, Monfarina 2014 gets the ball rolling. Easy to drink: this is a constant feature of this estate, where many wines have an alcohol content of 10.5%, 10% or even 9.5%... yet there is no sign of under-ripeness or harsh acidity: the wines are fresh but flavorful, with a delicate tang. (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2016 - RVF) This white wine with mountain accents pairs very well with seasonal dishes, especially those based on cheese.

About wine:
Sober and easy to drink, Monfarina 2014 opens the ball. Easy to drink: this is a constant feature of this estate, where many wines have an alcohol content of 10.5%, 10%, or even 9.5%... yet there is no under-ripeness or harsh acidity: the wines are fresh but flavorful, with a gentle acidity.
About the estate:
Established in 1988, David and Frédéric Giachino work around ten hectares of land. The vineyards are located in Chapareillan, near Mont Granier, facing the Bauges massif and overlooking the Isère valley. Certified organic since 2008, the estate harvests by hand, vinifies with indigenous yeasts and uses no SO2 other than at bottling. The result? Excellent raw materials vinified gently, producing sober, healthy, and digestible wines, both white and red. The rare Persian grape variety perhaps offers its finest results here. The range is remarkably consistent, which enabled the estate to obtain its first star last year.

A little hard on the stomach due to its acidity... I use it for cooking.
