Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Cathy and Daniel Fournié took over this 30-hectare estate in 1998, which has been certified organic since 2012. Self-taught, they sought advice from neighboring winegrowers. They learned quickly and well, as evidenced by the regular selections in these pages. Their daughter Mathilde joined them in 2015.

About wine:
A Malbec with floral notes, a rich, dense wine with remarkably well-balanced tannins and a noble vegetal character.
About the estate:
The château has been run by Cathy and Daniel Fournié since 1998, and the vines have been organically farmed since 2009. The reds have the panache of the third terraces of the Lot. Respect for the soil and, above all, for the ripeness of the fruit, is evident in each of the labels. The range is gaining in precision and even the classic vintages offer a smooth Malbec full of panache.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 08/03/2025
In stark contrast to its delicious older sibling Prestige, with its bright fruitiness, Tradition has a tannic, somewhat rustic and severe style. It develops a smooth, fresh juice with peppery black fruit flavors and a floral tone marked by acidity. A moderately juicy finish tinged with bitterness. Tight, still young, intended for robust dishes. Rating = 3.3.
