About the estate:
When he took over his father’s vineyards, Marc Penavayre wanted to evolve the style of the local wines toward more refined, more elegant products—a trend that was also evident in other villages in the Southwest during the 1980s and 1990s. It began with greater care in the vineyard, which has been certified organic since 2011. It also involved rethinking the grape varieties, giving pride of place to the local specialty, Négrette, and planting white varieties that are sure to surprise. Finally, it involved a more balanced use of oak barrels. The entire range is guided by the principle of promoting forgotten grape varieties and wines that are enjoyable even when young, all crafted with impeccable precision.

Constantly evolving under Thibaut’s guidance, the wines all offer a juicy and approachable profile, reflecting with great authenticity the character of the vintages and the identity of the terroir.
