About the wine:
This expressive blend—made equally from Braucol and Syrah—offers notes of cherry, prune, sweet spices, coffee, and forest floor. It strikes a fine balance between power and freshness on the palate, supported by a lovely tannic structure that bodes well for its aging potential.
About the estate:
Florentin and Andrée Vayssette, the grandparents, settled on the Chemin des Crêtes de Gaillac in 1930. Their son Jacques and his wife Maryse took over the estate. Later, their grandson Patrice and his wife Nathalie joined them to manage the estate’s 27 hectares of vineyards, which hold the High Environmental Value certification. A trusted name in the appellation.

Review by Mr. GILLES D. Published on March 21, 2026
A wine with character, featuring a robust framework that is warm and very dense, driven by tart fruit and marked by a lively freshness. The whole is underpinned by firm yet silky tannins with a hint of toasted oak. It seems it could use a little time to integrate its aging and mellow out. Pair with salted pork and lentils.
