“Rich and harmonious”

“The sole Tannat grape is at work in this expressive Madiran, which opens with red fruit accented by spices and smoky notes. On the palate, it is supple, round, and richly fruity, supported by a subtle freshness, well-integrated tannins, and a balanced oak presence.” (Le Guide Hachette 2024). It pairs beautifully with a nice piece of grilled beef...

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated wine (2024 guide) 1*Star ( A very successful wine)

Rated estate (2026 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the wine:

This expressive Madiran is made exclusively from Tannat grapes, offering an aroma of red fruits accented by spices and smoky notes. On the palate, it is supple, round, and richly fruity, supported by a subtle freshness, well-integrated tannins, and a balanced oak influence.

About the estate:

In 1902, Hubert Dousseau acquired the estate. Since 1995, Brigitte and Corinne, his great-granddaughters, have been managing a 22-hectare organic vineyard there. They have converted a small Gascon house in the heart of the vineyards into a guesthouse. In 2023, the fifth generation (Nathan, Corinne’s son) joined the venture. A sure bet for both Madiran and Pacherenc-du-Vic-Bilh.

It's not worth drinking right now, but I think it needs to age a bit (in the cellar)
