Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2026 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

The Laplace brothers courageously manage this large 65-hectare estate and a small adjoining wine business. They have successfully adapted the style of local wines to contemporary requirements, seeking greater balance and precision in their winemaking. They never lack imagination when it comes to creating wines of character at very reasonable prices.

Hachette Wine Guide

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

Château d'Aydie is a family affair (and a safe bet): four Laplace children are now following in the footsteps of their grandfather Frédéric, who was one of the first to sell Madiran in bottles, with the help of André Daguin, the famous Gascon chef. The 62-hectare estate has been expanded to include a wine trading business.
