Composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, and 11% Merlot, the 2019 Paul Sauer offers aromas of woody pencil lead, turned earth, and dark red and black fruit before layers of oak spice and floral notes of blackberry emerge. Medium-bodied, the wine is still young with a juicy, tannic edge, while succulent acidity and a pop of bright red fruit flavors shine through the mid-palate.
