"The estate's flagship vintage, meticulously crafted".

"This Riesling comes from two parcels of 70-year-old vines on the granitic part of the Kaefferkopf. It is the estate's flagship Cuvée. The bouquet displays minerality, complemented by hints of sage and lime. The wine is full-bodied and refreshingly acidic. A Kaefferkopf that is beginning to reveal its terroir, but clearly needs time. A convincing wine in terms of both complexity and persistence". (Yves Beck 2023)

Wine rated (2023 guide) 93/100

About the wine:

The Kaefferkopf Riesling is vigorous and mellow: an intense, dry, nervous wine that skilfully tames the sunny generosity of the cru. Without doubt the most accomplished vintage we've tasted.

Wine rated (2023 guide) 17/20

About the wine:

Luscious aroma of spices and floury lees, slightly yeasty, around ripe, creamy pears. On the palate, it's generous with citrus and pear, counterbalanced by deliciously bright citrus acidity, the firm texture adding to the impressive persistence. The firm texture adds to the impressive persistence. The finish is almost chewy. A complete wine, yet finely balanced and elegant in its power and fullness.

About the wine:

Very young and subtle, this impressive dry Riesling combines ripeness, structure and freshness with discreet power. A whole spectrum of citrus aromas, including some flowers, then on the finish, a multitude of citrus zests and a delicate, chalky minerality complete a very satisfying whole.
