“The sensation of the year”

“A world away from the classic, boring Pinot Gris, this dry wine is both juicy and straightforward on the palate, with a well-balanced structure and medium body. Its long, tart, and salty finish rounds out this charming and subtle wine. Made from biodynamically grown grapes, some of which come from the Hengst Grand Cru.” (James Suckling 2025)

Wine rated (2026 guide) 93/100

Rated estate (2025 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

Pinot Gris, dry and crisp

About the estate:

Founded in 2017, this estate is built on the legacy of vineyards brought together by the couple Amélie Buecher—who comes from a long line of winemakers—and Charles Sparr, the son of a family of wine merchants. Certified organic in 2017 and biodynamic in 2019, their vineyard includes four grand cru vineyards and offers a consistent range of authentic, unpretentious wines. Quality is improving rapidly, the Pinot Noirs shine, and the estate earned its first star this year.

Disappointing; a flat wine with a limited range of aromas.
