"An exceptional dry Muscat (James Suckling)"
“The 2023 Muscat Brand Grand Cru was grown on granite soil. This gives it a wonderful combination of creamy notes, elderflower, and lemon zest. It is aromatic, expressive, and almost intoxicating. On the palate, it has a beautiful, clean line, marked by a distinctive touch of lemony freshness. It is fragrant and more restrained than the nose, yet so lively, direct, and crisp. Superb finesse and the complete absence of residual sugar highlight the exquisite purity and lightness of the 2023 vintage. It is an expression of Muscat’s exquisite purity. Bravo.” (Vinous 2025)

About the wine:
An excellent Muscat du Brand—easy to drink, intense, and refined
About the estate:
This estate, founded in 2017, consists of the legacy of vineyards brought together by the couple Amélie Buecher—who comes from a long line of winemakers—and Charles Sparr, the son of a family of wine merchants. Certified organic in 2017 and biodynamic in 2019, their vineyard includes four grands crus and offers a consistent range of authentic, unpretentious wines. The quality is improving rapidly, the Pinot Noirs shine, and the estate earned its first star this year.

James Suckling
Wine rated (2025 guide) 94/100
About the wine:
An exceptional dry Muscat, with a minerality that is quite pronounced for this grape variety and a hint of smokiness. The palate is very mineral, medium-bodied, and skillfully underscored by fine tannins. The finish is very long, marked by a noble austerity. This is the first vintage of this wine. Made from grapes grown using biodynamic farming methods. Ready to drink now or suitable for aging.
