“A luminous and exquisitely delicate expression, featuring notes of lychee, almond, and herbal undertones. The sweetness is skillfully integrated into a refined structure, giving the wine a perfectly balanced and approachable character. ” (Les Meilleurs Vins de France - Gault Millau). A white wine full of delicacy, with aromas of nougat, toasted almond, candied redcurrant, lemon tart, wood resin, and pine honey... A real success!

Wine rated (2014 guide) 16,5/20 (Reference wine)

Rated estate (2024 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)

About the wine:

With its pure aromas of candied fruit and fruit jellies, this wine is flavorful and refined; its acidity gives it a long finish. Enjoy it on its own or with a lemon meringue pie.

About the estate:

After returning to the estate in 1999, Matthieu Boesch was quick to make the switch to organic and biodynamic farming, earning certification as early as 2006. However, while these sustainable practices are one thing, it took more time for the wines to find their balance in the glass—for the added acidity and structure to develop depth and complexity. For the past two vintages, we’ve found that this is now the case. Good news!

Wine rated (2015 guide) 15,5/20 (Good wine)

Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

As ardent advocates of biodynamics for over a decade, Matthieu and his wife Marie represent the eleventh generation of the Léon Boesch estate, located in the heart of the Vallée Noble. Here, the Zinnkoepflé grand cru is now dedicated exclusively to Gewürztraminer, with the aim of establishing it as a benchmark for a dry, full-bodied style. The estate has been practicing biodynamic agriculture since 2000, and the winery inaugurated in Westhalten in 2010 is a bioclimatic model. The wines possess depth and best express the terroirs of the region.
