"2017 marks a step forward for Pinot Noir, which is gaining depth and precision. Les Jardins offers a very pleasant crispness, but Luss has more body and delivers an intense sensation of stone fruit, accompanied by a crisp finish." Rated estate (2024 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

Matthieu Boesch returned to the estate in 1999 and quickly decided to take the plunge into organic and biodynamic farming, obtaining certification in 2006. However, virtuous practices are one thing, but it took more time for the wines to find their balance in the glass, for the extra acidity and tension to support each other in the long term. Over the last two vintages, we feel that this is now the case. Good news!

Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About wine:

2017 marks a step forward for Pinot Noir, which is gaining depth and precision. Les Jardins offers a very pleasant crispness, but Luss has more body and delivers an intense stone fruit flavor, paired with a crisp finish.

About the estate:

Fervent advocates of biodynamics for over ten years, Matthieu and his wife Marie represent the eleventh generation of the Léon Boesch estate, in the heart of the Vallée Noble. Here, the Zinnkoepflé grand cru is now dedicated to Gewurztraminer, raising it to the status of a benchmark for a dry, full-bodied style. The estate has been practicing biodynamic agriculture since 2000, and the cellar inaugurated in Westhalten in 2010 is a bioclimatic model. The wines have depth and express the terroirs of the area to the fullest.
