Domaine Loew - Riesling Sélection de Grains Nobles Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergbieten 2015 (50cl)
95/100
Robert Parker
The Riesling Sélection de Grains Nobles Altenberg de Bergbieten has an extraordinarily clean, fresh, and aromatic bouquet of white peach and apricot, underscored by aromas of lime and minerals. Round and juicy on the palate with a noble texture, rich and highly elegant, this is a pure, refined, energetic and salty Riesling SGN with a structured, tangy, persistent and mouthwatering finish. Very sweet, but extremely delicate, with great aging potential." (Wine Advocate 2017 - Robert Parker)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2017 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Étienne Loew is courageously fighting to raise awareness of the little-known terroirs of Westhalten, where very few winegrowers bottle their wine. Careful vinification and long aging (mainly in stainless steel vats) produce pure, precise wines, with the Rieslings being very dry.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2017 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
For several years now, this estate, skillfully managed by Etienne Loew, has won us over with its consistent production and excellent wines. He has found the key to fully unlocking the nuances of the soils around Westhoffen, and defends this somewhat isolated vineyard like a guardian watching over his ramparts! His touch is sure, his thinking open, and his wines are distinguished by their elegance. A winery worth discovering.
