“‘The Schoenenbourg is the most striking, both full-bodied and dynamic, bursting with clean, crisp flavors’ (RVF)”

“Minerality and spices dominate the bouquet—at least on the initial nose. It unfolds gradually and gains complexity as the minutes pass, ultimately giving way to a myriad of nuances, revealing a world of subtlety and detail. Salty, even lively, on the attack, the wine impresses with its ability to so skillfully balance softness, depth, and vigor. Its acidity, both structuring and incisive, helps anchor the wine and underscores both the freshness and the power of the terroir. Driven by a tannic structure working behind the scenes, the wine stands out for its depth, precision, and crystalline evolution.” (Yves Beck 2025) • Please note: limited quantities available

Rated wine (2026 guide) 96/100 Favorite

Rated estate (2023 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)

About the wine:

The Schoenenbourg is the most striking, both full-bodied and dynamic, bursting with clean, crisp flavors

About the estate:

In just a few years, Félix Meyer has built a solid reputation in Alsace. This is no accident: the viticulture is of high quality, with carefully controlled yields, and the wines are aged on fine lees in large casks. Having joined the family estate in 1992, Félix has skillfully brought out the character of Katzenthal’s granite-rich terroirs. Don’t overlook his Gewürztraminer, which is never heavy and achieves a crystalline purity, winning over even the detractors of this variety, which is all too often described as cloying. The estate expanded by 3.5 hectares in 2019, and 2021 saw the arrival of organic certification.
