San Pedro de Yacochuya
In 1988, at the invitation of the Etchart family—one of the oldest families in the Calchaquí Valley—Dany and Michel Rolland discovered Cafayate, a true wine-growing paradise in northwestern Argentina. They fell in love with this region, its culture, and its traditions.

Dany and Michel Rolland were convinced that unique and exceptional wines could be produced in this mountainous landscape of the Andean foothills.

The Cafayate region is located a few hundred kilometers south of the Tropic of Capricorn, at an altitude of 2,035 meters, and enjoys a very distinctive climate with alternating hot days and cool nights.

Impressed by the remarkable potential of an old Malbec vineyard perched at an altitude of 2,035 meters, Dany and Michel decided, together with their Argentine friends, to craft the wines of San Pedro de Yacochuya with all their passion and expertise.
