“Once the whole clusters were pressed, the 2017 Lindaflor Chardonnay—fermented in tanks—was vinified and aged in barrels, 30% of which were new. The wine was aged in barrels for 12 months on its lees, with regular stirring. Slightly oaky and spicy, it comes from a single vineyard block planted in 2004 and still used exclusively for this wine. The oak is well-integrated, and it has a creamy texture while retaining its freshness and intense flavors. A clean and straightforward wine.” (Wine Advocate 2018 – Robert Parker) A truly beautiful white wine!

About the wine:

Once the whole clusters were pressed, the 2017 Lindaflor Chardonnay was fermented in tanks, then vinified and aged in barrels, 30% of which were new. The wine was kept in barrels for 12 months on the lees, with bâtonnage. Slightly oaky and spicy, it comes from a specific vineyard block planted in 2004 that has always been used for this wine. The oak is well-integrated—much less pronounced than in today’s wines—and it has a creamy texture while retaining its freshness and intense flavors. A clean, straightforward wine.
