"La Violeta 2008 is the second vintage of this cuvée, aged like La Violette in Pomerol, and limited to 15.5% alcohol. It unfolds with an opulent, heady bouquet that reminds me of its Pomerol counterpart in its youth. It offers a wide range of notes of ripe red cherry, crème de cassis, vanilla, and blueberry jam, all enveloped in creamy oak. The palate is full-bodied with velvety tannins and low acidity. Everything here is beautifully integrated with the well-integrated new oak. It is sumptuous and appeals to hedonists. Drink now through 2016 and beyond.” (Wine Advocate 2012 - Robert Parker) Delivered in a wooden case for any order of 6 bottles of this wine

About wine:
Much like the previous vintage of La Violeta, this cuvée is a magnificent Malbec, brimming with complexity, intensity, and power. The bouquet releases aromas of marzipan, cola, fine leather, tea, and aromatic berries. All of this builds impeccably on the palate with intense notes of jerky, mocha, black fruit, and spices. The finish is massive and rich with licorice and mocha.
