“There is a great purity to the 2016 BenMarco Expresivo. It’s floral, light, fresh, and complex, and it’s still very young and lively in a way that I really love. This year’s blend consists of 75% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Franc, with all the wild herbs and flowers of Gualtallary. It has a vibrant palate, with the characteristics of each grape variety well integrated and complementary.” (Wine Advocate 2018 - Luis Gutiérrez)

About the wine:

The nose is dominated by notes of pure blackcurrant, iodine, ink, graphite, crushed stone, flint, morello cherry, and licorice. The fresh purity of the fruit that permeates the entire palate is what defines this wine. The tannins are so compact and structuring, framing a wealth of violet and lavender flavors and carrying them through to a long finish. 75% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Franc. Drink starting in 2022.
