"The harmony of the appellation's legendary coastline!"

"This wine embodies the quintessence of the Côte du Py, with toasted notes complementing the Morgon fruit, and a rich, captivating fruitiness from 2022 that is a real treat. Already ready to drink, it will age well for at least 20 years." (Le Guide de la RVF 2025). Enjoy with a typical Beaujolais andouillette sausage!

Bettane & Desseauve

3-star rating (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

A leading figure in Beaujolais in general and Morgon in particular, Dominique Piron, now joined by his partner Julien Révillon, has developed a solid range of Beaujolais wines. Seven crus are represented across more than 100 hectares, with a logical majority of Morgons. With a refined style and expressive noses, while retaining the stylistic signature of their origin, the estate's wines are all successful.

About the estate:

Heir to 14 generations of winegrowers, Dominique Piron handed over the reins of the family estate to Julien Revillon, his partner since 2013, in 2020. Revillon now manages around 50 hectares, divided between his own vineyards and grapes purchased for the wine merchant side of the business.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 93/100

Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About wine:

This wine embodies the quintessence of the Côte du Py, with toasted notes complementing the Morgonn grape's rich, captivating fruitiness, which delights the palate. Already ready to drink, it has the potential to age for at least 20 years.

About the estate:

Julien Revillon, assisted by his talented oenologist Pierre Meunier, continues Dominique Piron's work with consistency and panache. The duo is assisted by vineyard manager Thibaud Lemaître, who is essential for overseeing an estate covering 90 hectares. Their joint efforts have improved the quality of the grapes, and the selective vineyard management they have implemented is beginning to bear fruit. We are impressed by the consistency of the range and its cornerstones: spontaneous fruit, sweetness, and the precise definition of each vintage.

About wine:

Medium-dark ruby. Very fragrant, with notes of violet, kirsch, and black cherry. On the palate, the 25% oak adds a hint of pepper and spice. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, powerful and muscular. The tannins are not harsh, but present and persistent. The alcohol is well balanced with refreshing acidity.

About wine:

Welcome to the hidden side of Morgon's strength! Highly concentrated, yet with great mineral freshness, its fine tannins give it excellent complexity on the medium-bodied palate. A hint of bitter chocolate on the vibrant, very long finish of wet stone. Aged 80% in vats and 20% in wooden barrels. Ready to drink now, but best enjoyed from 2025 onwards.
