With its deep purple color and ruby highlights, this wine reveals a delicate nose of blackcurrant and blueberry with notes of roasted mocha. Generous and dense on the palate, its fresh, refined tannins offer a long, balanced structure with notes of toasted black fruit and licorice. Deliciously flavorful.

About the estate:
Formerly owned by the Perponcher family, who were forced to flee to Holland after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes, it was acquired in 1990 by the Despagne estate. A vineyard situated on a clay-siliceous plateau overlooking the Dordogne, it is a must-try in Bordeaux (in all three colors), Bordeaux Supérieur, and Entre-deux-Mers.

Very disappointing. A basic Bordeaux. Slightly acidic. Light.
