value for money

With its deep purple color and ruby highlights, this wine reveals a delicate nose of blackcurrant and blueberry with notes of roasted mocha. Generous and dense, the fresh palate, with its refined tannins, offers a long, balanced structure with notes of toasted black fruit and licorice. Deliciously flavorful.

About the estate:

Formerly owned by the Perponcher family, who were forced to flee to Holland following the revocation of the Edict of Nantes, the estate was acquired in 1990 by the Despagne family. A vineyard situated on a clay-siliceous plateau overlooking the Dordogne River, it is a must-try in Bordeaux (in all three styles), Bordeaux Supérieur, and Entre-deux-Mers.

Very disappointing. A basic Bordeaux. Slightly acidic. Light.
