Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2019 guide) Selected (An estate or winery that impressed us with one or more of its wines, but where we are unable to give an overall opinion on the style of the entire range)
About the estate:
The origins of Château Lamothe date back to the 16th century, and it has belonged to the same family since 1956. Currently, the 80-hectare vineyard is managed by Anne Neel and her children, Maria and Damien Chombart. They have expanded the vineyard and built impressive underground cellars. The Valentine cuvée is made with care and respect for classic balances. It spans vintages while remaining true to its style.

A lively white wine carried by the tension and aroma of Sauvignon. Frank and lively, it nevertheless lacks a little structure and depth. Best enjoyed as an aperitif.
