"The bouquet of Marjosse is bursting with fruity notes! These are complemented by aromas of licorice, woody nuances, and even freshness. The juicy, mouthwatering character on the palate only enhances the inviting aspects of the bouquet. A delicious, sapid, mouthwatering wine that is ready to be enjoyed while still showing its potential for cellaring. In short, it's a Bordeaux!" (Yves Beck 2025) - Pierre Lurton, director of Châteaux d'Yquem and Cheval Blanc, is the owner of this Bordeaux treasure that stands out in its category in both red and white!

The tannins are very present and already have a silky texture. Creamy on the palate, with an aromatic palette revealing hints of citrus (bitter orange). A beautiful balance between freshness and alcohol, as well as a long finish, which are the hallmarks of this vintage.

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2023 guide) 91-92/100
3-star rating (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About wine:
Charming, delicious tannins and long finish. A great success for the estate in this vintage.
About the estate:
Pierre Lurton, who is also director of Château Cheval Blanc and president of Château d'Yquem, bought Château Marjosse more than twenty years ago, attracted by the old vines and the quality of the terroir: something quite rare in Entre-Deux-Mers, the asteriated limestone, the same that makes Saint-Émilion famous, is found here at the surface. The quality and consistency of this wine, both white and red, is astonishing. The wines are remarkably balanced and pure. They have vibrant fruit, a silky and harmonious texture, and are very drinkable while also showing great aging potential.

About wine:
Marjosse 2022, from Pierre Lurton's Entre-Deux-Mers estate, has a salty bouquet with aromas of blackcurrant and wild hedgerows. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresh attack, supple tannins, and a touch of black pepper and graphite on the finish. Is this the best bargain in Bordeaux? Most likely. This is a wine you absolutely must buy. 2025-2033
