"Always outstanding, this is a magnificent white wine that deserves your full attention! ~ Jeb Dunnuck"
"Marjosse Blanc 2023 is delicious. Crisp, lively, and inviting, the 2023 will make a delicious white aperitif wine over the next few years. Crushed stones, mint, white pepper, and lime bring lovely nuances throughout the tasting. The floral top notes and tropical nuances really explode on the finish. (Vinous 2024) - Pierre Lurton, director of Châteaux d'Yquem and Cheval Blanc, is the owner of this Gem enjoyed as an aperitif or with a seafood platter.

About the estate:
Pierre Lurton, who is also director of Château Cheval Blanc and president of Château d'Yquem, bought Château Marjosse more than twenty years ago, attracted by the old vines and the quality of the terroir: something quite rare in Entre-Deux-Mers, the asteriated limestone, the same that makes Saint-Émilion famous, is found here at the surface. The quality and consistency of this wine, both white and red, is astonishing. The wines are remarkably balanced and pure. They have vibrant fruit, a silky and harmonious texture, and are very drinkable while also showing great aging potential.

About wine:
Although initially somewhat varietal in terms of aroma, with Sauvignon Blanc coming to the fore, as it settles in the glass, I appreciate the energy and subtle opulence coming from the Sémillons, which exude white stone fruits, but also lemon zest and a lot of invigorating freshness on the medium finish. Aged for several months on lees in concrete vats, with regular stirring, and only 5% aged in oak barrels. A wine to enjoy on its own or with pan-fried scallops and risotto. 2025-2030

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 05/14/2025
Harmonious and elegant, this white wine combines moderate liveliness, density, intensity, and aromatic complexity dominated by citrus and floral notes. With a fleshy, crisp, and rich texture, it evolves quietly toward a lingering finish of the most beautiful effect, enhanced by a welcome hint of salinity combined with subtle mineral bitterness. Well-made and offering surprising value for money. A real delight paired with a starter of white asparagus and langoustine tails, followed by sole meunière drizzled with melted butter and accompanied by steamed potatoes. Rating = 4.
