Château de Parenchère
Château de Parenchère, whose foundations were laid in 1570 by Pierre de Parenchères, Sieur de Fourgoignières, is located in the extreme east of the Bordeaux region, at the gateway to Périgord. The estate, renovated in 1958 by Raphaël Gazaniol, covers 153 hectares in a single block, with a total of 63 hectares of vines planted on the best parcels of the property. These plots are located exclusively on hillsides, so that rainwater can run off naturally without altering the quality of the grapes through excessive swelling due to water stagnation.

Jean Gazaniol took over from him in 1977, and succeeded in building a reputation for Château de Parenchère wines that soon spread beyond our borders. Today, he works alongside new shareholder Per Landin, a Swedish wine enthusiast who fell in love with the estate in January 2005. Together, they aim to serve the magnificent terroir of Parenchère with reasoned and rigorous care, seeking to demonstrate that great wines can come from more modestly recognized appellations.
