Martinat Castle
Château Martinat is located in the town of Lansac, in the heart of the Côtes de Bourg appellation ( ), amidst the rolling hills of the Bordeaux region, not far from the Gironde River. The river has a definite influence on the region’s mild climate and abundant sunshine. Château Martinat spans 10 hectares on a distinctive terroir, characterized by veins of fine gravel and red and brown clays—a valuable asset for the ripening of the grapes and the density of the wines. The vines at Château Martinat are 40 years old on average, with a blend dominated by Merlot (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), and 10% Malbec (a historic grape variety).

The vineyard at Château Martinat is managed manually and naturally: debudding, leaf removal, green harvesting, and manual harvesting. These tasks are carried out with care to ensure the production of a high-quality vintage each year.
