Martinat Castle
Château Martinat is located in the town of Lansac, in the heart of the Côtes de Bourg appellation— , within the rolling landscape of the Bordeaux region, not far from the Gironde River. The river has a definite influence on the region’s mild climate and abundant sunshine. Château Martinat encompasses 10 hectares on a unique terroir, characterized by veins of fine gravel and red and brown clay; a valuable asset for the ripeness of the grapes and the density of the wines. The vines at Château Martinat are 40 years old on average, with a blend dominated by Merlot (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), and 10% Malbec (a historic variety).

The management of the Château Martinat vineyard remains manual and natural: debudding, leaf removal, green harvesting, and manual harvesting. These tasks are carried out with care to ensure the production of a high-quality vintage each year.
