An organic blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Muscadelle, 10% Sauvignon Gris, and 5% Sémillon. On the nose, aromas of peach and pear. A zesty, citrusy freshness, followed by a fresh, creamy, and mineral finish. A lively, expressive wine, rich in flavors. A hint of pineapple and mango adds a touch of sweetness. About the estate:
In 1290, the Fontenille estate in the Entre-deux-Mers region already had vineyards. Then part of the Abbey of La Sauve-Majeure, this estate—with its clay-siliceous terroir—became independent in the 17th century. Since 1998, it has been managed by Stéphane Defraine, who oversees 56 hectares of vineyards—20 planted with white grape varieties and 36 with red—currently in the process of converting to organic farming.
