Château Caillivet
Château Caillivet is owned by the Carrillo family and is located in Mazères, 35 km southeast of Bordeaux. The Château Caillivet estate was established in 1997 by Philippe and his son Antoine on the family’s land. The first AOC Graves vintage was released in 2001.
The Château Caillivet vineyard comprises 7 hectares of vines on clay-gravel soil. The vines are cultivated with the utmost care: no chemical fertilizers are used, and suckering and leaf removal are done by hand, with green harvesting to limit yields. The harvest is carried out by hand, with three successive selections in the vineyard and in the cellar. This level of exacting standards and rigor gives Château Caillivet’s AOC Graves wines suppleness and elegance, as well as a rich, indulgent character.
