Note: Laarson & Del Monego 90/100
This lovely Bordeaux opens with notes of red fruit, spices, and delicate oak. A peppery note enhances the aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry, and cherry. The attack is lively, and the wine develops a beautiful structure on the palate, with a finish of good length. A very pleasant red!

About the estate:

Located in Mazères, in the Graves appellation, Caillivet is owned by the Carrillo family. In 1997, Philippe and his son Antoine established the vineyard on the family’s land—7 hectares planted on clay-gravel soils; the grape varieties include Merlot (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented by a small amount of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The first harvest produced the 2001 vintage.

Not bad, but I've had better wines from Graves.
