Note: Laarson & Del Monego 90/100
This lovely Bordeaux opens with notes of red fruit, spices, and subtle oak. A peppery note enhances the aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry, and cherry. The attack is lively, and the wine develops a beautiful structure on the palate, with a finish of good length. A very pleasant red!

About the estate:

Located in Mazères, in the Graves appellation, Caillivet is owned by the Carrillo family. In 1997, Philippe and his son Antoine established the vineyard on the family’s land, comprising 7 hectares planted on clay-gravel soils; the grape varieties include Merlot (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by a small amount of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The first harvest produced the 2001 vintage.

Not bad, but I've had better Graves wines.
