"A beautiful, concentrated red wine distinguished by its rich, full body, giving free rein to an exuberant expression of black fruits with excellent definition. It even gives the impression of having been aged in barrels, when in fact it was matured exclusively in vats! " (Le Guide des bonnes affaires du vin 2015 - Gerbelle & Maurange). A red wine with a rich and velvety palate, revealing a delightful minty and licorice freshness...

1*Star rating (Serious production)

About the estate:

Located in Mazères, in the Graves appellation, Caillivet is owned by the Carrillo family. In 1997, Philippe and his son Antoine created the vineyard on the family's land, planting 7 hectares of Merlot (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented by a little Sauvignon and Sémillon for the white wine. The first harvest produced the 2001 vintage.

The wine is undrinkable. Perhaps there was a problem with transportation due to the high temperatures.
