“A beautiful, concentrated red wine distinguished by a rich, full-bodied texture that gives free rein to an exuberant expression of black fruits with superb definition. Estate rated 1*Star (High-quality production)

About the estate:

Located in Mazères, in the Graves appellation, Caillivet is owned by the Carrillo family. In 1997, Philippe and his son Antoine established the vineyard on the family’s land—7 hectares planted on clay-gravel soils; the grape varieties include Merlot (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented by a small amount of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The first harvest produced the 2001 vintage.
