“Great potential”
“ "Owned by the Touchais family, originally from Anjou in the Loire region, this estate is now in its third generation. The wine is spicy, with dry tannins that are sure to soften. It will mature into a full-bodied, structured wine, ready to drink by 2023. " (Wine Enthusiast 2018) A great deal and excellent potential!

About the estate:
A noble estate dating back to the 14th century, this 20-hectare vineyard is overlooked by an elegant Carthusian monastery built by Victor Louis at the end of the 18th century. It was purchased in 1964 by the Touchais family, who came from the vineyards of Anjou. Luc Touchais replanted the vines starting in 1973 and passed the estate on in 2005 to his son Lionel, an oenologist with extensive experience in various international wineries.

Rated estate (2020 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Wine Enthusiast)
About the wine:
This family-owned estate has produced a dense, full-bodied wine. With plenty of ripe berries and lovely acidity, it is well-balanced, juicy, and firm. Fragrant notes of blackcurrant and a beautiful balance are the hallmarks of this wine.
