"Brambly fruit, toasty aromas and soft florality. Structured and serious from the outset, with ultra-fine tannins that fill the mouth and coat the tongue and cheeks, but with a fresh graphite grip. Supple without being stilted, distinctly more slender without being strict, its supple chewiness gives it lovely, welcome length on the palate. Juicy and vibrant, it brims with energy and vivacity, yet remains refined and elegant, without being overloaded. A truly impressive second wine, where terroir takes pride of place. Succulent and easy, yet confident and well-crafted". (Decanter 2023) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2021) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
World-famous for its opulence and consistency, this fifth classified growth of Pauillac has belonged to the Cazes family since the 1930s, and has acquired great renown since Jean-Michel Cazes took over its management in 1973. After the successful handover from Jean-Michel to his son Jean-Charles, the cru has maintained its ardor and health in recent vintages, retaining its depth and gaining in tannic precision. The château produces an increasingly stylish dry white Bordeaux, but we're still waiting for a more precise wine for the second selection, echo. A new vat room is under construction, and it promises to be monumental, as we have to hold our own in a highly competitive world!

Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2022) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
The name of this cru combines that of the Irish merchants who owned it in the 18th century and that of a hamlet on the southern outskirts of Pauillac. Since the 1930s, its success has been the result of the continuous work of three generations of Cazes: Jean-Charles, André and Jean-Michel. The latter, who has now handed over to his son Jean-Charles, plays an essential role. Its success is linked to the quality of its wines, produced from a vast 100-hectare vineyard, and also to a genuine development strategy, including a wine merchant and tourist infrastructures (hotel-restaurant, shops).

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
Jean-Charles Cazes is now in charge of this prestigious Pauillac cru. His father, Jean-Michel, an exceptional Medoc personality, tireless ambassador for Bordeaux wines and the architect of this fifth growth's renown, is never far away. The magnificent family estate, excellently situated on the Bages plateau, has produced an impressive series of wines without any weak points since the early 1970s, imposing its rich, seductive and immediately accessible style, while being able to age gracefully. Now boasting a spectacular, brand-new, state-of-the-art winery, the cru is more on track than ever, and its popularity with many wine lovers is only just returning the favor.

Wine rated (2021 guide) 95-96/100
About the wine:
This wine has an intense graphite and violet character, with hints of pencil lead. Full-bodied and firm, with mellow, well-balanced tannins. Iodine shines through. So intense. An excellent second wine. Like Lynch's great wine of the 1980s. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot.

About the wine:
The first vintage produced in the new facilities, Echo de Lynch-Bages 2020 is composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, and aged in new oak barrels. This is a full-bodied, serious second wine, revealing classic Pauillac pencil lead and tobacco notes, an abundance of ripe black fruit, velvety tannins and a magnificent finish. One of the most opulent, full-bodied wines of the vintage, it has a lot to offer and is very much in the Grand Vin style. 2023-2038
Yves Beck
Wine rated (2021 guide) 92-93/100
About the wine:
Expressive, intense bouquet, revealing mineral and fruity nuances. Straightforward, taut character on the palate. Imposing tannins ensure fullness, but the wine is nonetheless balanced thanks to the freshness of its acid structure. Echo announces a great wine in a beautiful way! 2025-2040
Vert de Vin
Wine rated (2021 guide) 92-93/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About the wine:
The nose is aromatic, elegant and floral. Notes of violet, rose and blackberry are combined with hints of wild raspberry, small black berries, iris and a subtle touch of tea and spice. Fruity on the palate, with juiciness, freshness, good definition, greediness, floweriness, gourmandise, roundness and fatness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/sparkling blackcurrant, cherry and, more slightly, iris and violet, combined with hints of saffron, pulpy/fresh red berries, as well as fine gravelly notes, toastiness, chocolate and a discreet hint of toastiness/sweet spices. The tannins are massive, present, structuring and very finely mellow.
